Xbox 360: DRM Tool is Live!

Thursday, June 26th, 2008 by xTEC4

If you have ever bought Xbox Live content on more than one system and would like to consolidate your purchases, now you can. Head over to http://xbox.com/drm for the quick and pretty painless process.
Major Nelson has a how to video to help hold your hand, but the process is pretty straight forward.
You simply log on to xbox.com with your Live account and click on the “Start the license transfer process now.” link. Here you will see a list of all the consoles you have ever purchased content on. When you are ready, click “Next”, then all you do is sign into Xbox live on the console you want all the content licensed to. This will signal the backend to transfer all the licenses to that console id. Now comes the tedious part (if you had a lot of stuff from other consoles). You need to re-download the content for the license to download. As Major points out you can go into the download history on your console to see the list of everything you have ever download (from any console). If you have previously downloaded the content, it’s really only the license that downloads, so they go quick.

Did you know? Xbox Live Account Management

Saturday, May 31st, 2008 by xTEC4

Go to www.xbox.com and sign in with the Windows Live Passport you used when you setup Xbox Live (XBL) on you Xbox 360.

Now there are a couple ways to get to Account Management. Either Click on My Xbox next to your gamerpicture and then click on Manage Profile, or click on the little double arrow right next to My Xbox and select Manage Profile from the drop down menu.

From your computer, which has a wonderful sized keyboard and mouse, you can add MS Points, or Pre-paid XBL codes, and also update pretty much everything that you can about your Xbox Profile. So much easy on the computer then trying to enter a 5×5 (five by five, the 25 character alphanumeric code used for pretty much everything XBL related) via the controller.

Finally, a couple of geeks, who enjoy playing video games, get the website up and running. We are by no means expert gamers. This is expected to be a place for novice gamers to enjoy the perspective of other novice gamers, and maybe the occasional expert.

Please keep the environment fun and jovial.
